I’m Julie, the Co-ordinator for Devon Loves Dogs with my dog Maisie. Maisie is a lovely Labrador x Cocker Spaniel and she often joins me at work, especially on our Waggy Walks.
I’m lucky enough to spend my time running social, guided dog walks across South East Devon and meeting lots of dogs and their owners out in the countryside. I know that it can be tricky to find the right information about when and where we can walk with our dogs, so we try and share useful information on our website, social media channels, and newsletters as well as face to face at events from the Devon Loves Dogs gazebo. But, just as importantly I want to understand the issues that dog owners currently face so that I can represent the needs and concerns of dog walkers to landowners and managers
I’m Trish, the Assistant Project Officer for Devon Loves Dogs along with my two little terriers Gary and Pierre.
With a lifelong love of dogs and a deep appreciation for the Devon countryside, I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a wonderful project. You will likely spot me and my dogs out and about on our Waggy Walks or at local events, helping spread the word about what Devon Loves Dogs has to offer. I am passionate about connecting with dog owners across South East Devon to continue building a friendly and welcoming community of dog lovers. Together, we can explore, enjoy, and learn about the stunning natural landscapes that make this area so special for both us and our furry companions.
Our funders and partners
Devon Loves Dogs is jointly funded by East Devon District Council, Teignbridge District Council and Exeter City Council. Other organisations such as Natural England, Clinton Devon Estates, RSPB, Devon Wildlife Trust, the Exe Estuary Management Partnership and the National Trust provide advice and guidance. Together, all of these organisations have formed a partnership known as South East Devon Wildlife. It has been formed to protect the three very special wildlife sites of the Pebblebed Heaths (Woodbury and surrounding commons), the Exe Estuary and Dawlish Warren.
