Coronavirus Update for Dog Owners

Thursday, March 26, 2020

The government has released new guidance on staying at home and avoiding others during the Coronavirus pandemic. They will initially last for three weeks from 23rd March, at which point the government will look at them again and relax them if the evidence shows this is possible.

Every citizen is instructed to comply with these new measures.

Staying at home is key. You should only leave the house for one of four reasons: One form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household. This can include a daily dog walk in a quiet location, close to your home, following all the rules on social distancing.

In line with these measures the Devon Loves Dogs programme of events, including our Waggy Walks have been cancelled. We will review this decision in line with changing government guidance over the coming months. Please follow us on social media or check our website for updates.

In the meantime we'll be sharing some ideas on how to keep yourself and your dog entertained at home. Well, we can't spend all day cuddled up on the sofa!

Keep well and we look forward to seeing you all later in the year.

Best wishes Julie
