A busy year for Devon Loves Dogs, here are the highlights...
At the beginning of a new year we like to have a look back at what was achieved over 2023. Thanks to to the enthusiasm of our members, supporters and partners we had a very busy year! We celebrated 6 years of Devon Loves Dogs back in the summer and we've enjoyed a varied programme of events, Waggy Walks and pop ups across South East Devon. We're looking forward to another action packed year in 2024!

One of my favourite DLD activities is running our programme of Waggy Walks. During 2023 we held 23 walks in a range of locations including the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths as far as Mutters Moor and the Otter Estuary with the Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust. We've explored Dawlish Countryside Park, Ridgetop Park and Eastcliff Park with the Teignbridge Rangers and Honiton Bottom Nature Reserve with the East Devon Rangers. We've also been treated to stunning coastal views with the National Trust at Salcombe Hill and beautiful (if rather wet) woodland at Pullabrook with the Natural England Site Ranger.

We've been to some fantastic events too, including Devon County Show, Dawlish Loves Dogs and my personal favourite Woofstock - a festival all about dogs held on the Powderham Estate overlooking the stunning Exe Estuary. At all of these events we take along the Devon Loves Dogs gazebo with it's dog friendly games and information. We've given away over 800 goodie bags and played the "poo game" too many times to mention!

We're also delighted to have a total of 95 dog friendly businesses listed on our website, so if you haven't checked out our Business Directory yet, what are you waiting for?

We have lots of plans for 2024, we're aiming to make it our biggest and best year yet - we can't wait to get out there and meet all of our friendly members and their furry best friends. To find out more, check out our website and follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @DevonLovesDogs
