Join us for a beautiful summer evening walk at the stunning Ashclyst Forest, led by National Trust Ranger Griselda.
This varied circular route will take us down through peaceful woodland and open fields before returning via the orchard and grassy meadows. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore one of East Devon’s hidden gems, enjoy the cooler summer evenings, and let your dog enjoy plenty of sniffing, socialising and off-lead fun along the way.
The walk follows a mixture of gravel tracks and grassy paths, with a short section of road where dogs will need to remain on lead. The second half of the route includes some fairly steep hills, but you’ll be rewarded with beautiful countryside views and a wonderful evening out with fellow dog lovers.

Directions: From Broadclyst follow the B3181 north towards Cullompton. Go straight past the junction to Killerton house. Take the next right signposted to Ashclyst. Continue going straight ahead into the Forest. Forest Gate car park is on the left hand side with a green “Ashclyst Forest” sign. Look out for the Devon Loves Dogs sign and van too!
