Join us as part of Exeter Walking Festival for a Waggy Walk around beautiful Ridgetop Park, led by an expert ranger.
Discover this unique site, learn about its ancient geology, fascinating history and development, and enjoy incredible panoramic views across Exeter from the top. We’ll also visit some of the parks beautiful seating areas, including Cloud Base, where you can lean back and take in the sky.
This is a great chance to discover a new favourite walking spot, meet fellow dog owners and let your dog socialise with some new four-legged friends.
With some steep climbs, this is a more energetic walk and will mostly be off-lead, with a few short on-lead sections.

From the Devon Hotel roundabout at Matford, follow the main road uphill towards Alphington. Take the first left onto Trood Lane into the Bovis Homes Haldon Reach development. You can either continue straight along Trood Lane, or if you prefer to avoid a single track lane take the first right onto Ellacott Road, then 3rd left onto Garrison Road and drive past the Matford Brook Academy which is still being built. You will have the school development on your right and completed houses on your left. At the end of the houses, look out for the Devon Loves Dogs sign, turn right along the single track lane and the car park is just along the lane on the left. Car parking is FREE.
