Wildlife Waggy Walk at Woodbury Common 🦋

Join us and South East Devon Wildlife for a special Wildlife Waggy Walk on the stunning Pebblebed Heaths. A truly unique landscape right here in East Devon.

This relaxed, slower paced walk is all about taking time to pause, look, listen as we explore this incredible habitat together.

We’ll be joined by Marije, wildlife warden for South East Devon Wildlife, who will be sharing her knowledge and helping us discover the fascinating species that call the heath home. From birdsong overhead to hidden creatures in the undergrowth there’s so much to learn when we slow things down. As a large group of humans and dogs we may not be able to spot the wildlife ourselves but Marije will help bring the landscape to life , sharing insights to help you spot signs and species on future visits.

There will be on lead sections of this walk to keep dogs calm and allow us all the opportunity to listen and take in our surrondings.

  • We will set off at 10am
  • Maximum of 2 dogs per person
  • The walk will last approximately 1.5-2 hours
  • Tickets are free but booking is essential

We’ll be meeting at Model Airfield Carpark which is located on Woodbury Common on B3179. If travelling from Exeter, go straight over the crossroads, go past Four Firs Carpark and you will see Model Airfield Carpark further down on your left. Look out for the Devon Loves Dogs sign and van.
