Poltimore House is a historic grade II listed country house near Exeter with extensive 13 acres of grounds to explore and a fascinating depth of history to discover. Sadly the house itself suffered significant fire in April 2024, but the volunteer-run trust continues its restoration efforts, which are supported by visitors who can enjoy the grounds, café and ongoing heritage events.
The grounds boast an abundance of veteran trees, formal lime and popular avenues creating a haven for wildlife. Discover hidden pathways, historical features and if you are lucky you may spot a deer or two!
